Our Logo

This is one of the many folk tales about the origins of the school's logo...

One day a fisherman caught a trout in the Golden Well which is in Dorstone (3 miles from Peterchurch). It had a golden chain around it’s neck. This is where the fish comes from in our logo.

The village has a church, and inside the church there is a stone plaque of the trout with a chain around it’s neck. The church is dedicated to St. Peter, and that makes the link to the keys in our logo – St. Peter holding the keys to the gates of Heaven.
