The School Council at Peterchurch Primary School is an active group that aims to address citizenship, tolerance and understanding.
The children learn the skills of representing others and are able to discuss issues with the Deputy Head Teacher and a Governor on a regular basis.
The School Council is made up of representatives from Years 1 – 6 and at the regular meetings they discuss issues which have an impact upon the daily lives of all children. The School Council has played an active part in fundraising for Guide Dogs for the Blind. The School Council has also participated in interviewing candidates for Headship and for teaching appointments and reviewing the school's behaviour policy.
