Preventing Extremism

In 2011 the Government put into place something called the ‘Prevent’ strategy. Schools, including primary schools, are required to include this as part of their safeguarding procedures. In practice, for us, this means challenging prejudice and racist comments, promoting British values and exploring other cultures and religions to promote diversity.

Early Help Offer

At Peterchurch Primary School, we support families in a variety of ways. We may offer some families HAF activities during the holidays, offer termly food boxes from the local community, arrange TAF/Vennture meetings. Free School Meal children receive food vouchers for every school holiday which can be used in any supermarket.

We provide wrap around care with a percentage of places available for Free School Meal children.

The Hub, within St Peter's Church in the village, offers a range of services and support including financial and housing support which we guide families to if they require such support.
